BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A teenager behind the wheel of a Cadillac Escalade is in Bronson Battle Creek Hospital and under investigation after he almost crashed into that same hospital Saturday afternoon.
Battle Creek Police say the 19-year-old lost control of the big SUV while headed westbound on Emmett Street, rolling down a hill bouncing off several curbs, taking out a tree, hitting a rock and knocking over a light post before rolling on to its side and sliding a few feet short of the entrance to the Cancer Center.
The Cadillac didn’t hit the building, but the broken light post did.
The teen was loaded into a Life Care ambulance, driven around to the emergency room and admitted.
His condition has not been released.
