VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office are investigating similar strings of break ins only one day apart.
On Tuesday deputies were called to the 65,000 block of Front Street on Van Auken Lake in Bangor to discover 5 homes were broken into with multiple items stolen from each.
Investigators found boot prints about size 10 to 13 in the snow, tire tracks that could be from a smaller car or pickup truck and a pry bar on scene.
South Haven Police report similar break ins a day later in the Windingwoods subdivision with the same boot impressions.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
