COMSTOCK (WKZO AM/FM) — Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that totally destroyed a home and may have killed pets in the 700 block of Benedict Avenue in Comstock Township early Saturday morning.
The owner and his dog managed to get out, but by the time a neighbor spotted the flames and called 911 at about 1:15 am, and the first crews arrived, the fast moving fire had totally engulfed the home.
No damage estimate was released.
