LANSING, MI — The Lansing School district has posted a historic 93.81% four-year graduation rate for the 2024–2025 school year, according to media partner Six News WLNS. It marks the highest performance in the district’s history.
The school also managed to reduced its dropout rate to 1.75% during the same period.
These figures represent a significant lead over Michigan statewide averages. According to official state data, the average four-year graduation rate in Michigan is 84%, while the average dropout rate sits at 7.1%.
Jessica Benavides, Interim Superintendent of the Lansing School District, told WLNS that she credited the success to a collective effort between the schools and the community. Benavides noted that the results are part of a steady, sustained upward trend in student success for the district over recent years.
