CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — A Homer man charged with having sex with a 14-year-old girl has cut a deal with prosecutors to avoid trial and the possibility of a much longer sentence.
36-year-old Ryan Weaver has entered a no-contest plea to criminal sexual conduct in the third degree and child sexually abusive activity.
In exchange other charges will be dropped. He could still face up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced.
He was captured when neighbors called about a suspicious truck parked along S Drive South near a field.
Investigators allege they had sex several times during September of last year and texted explicit photos.
He will be sentenced March 23rd.
