BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Battle Creek officials say the Sunday morning fire which killed a man at 266 Oneita Street is not related to the disappearance of Amber Griffin.
Battle Creek Police have processed the home and have no reason to believe the fire was related to her case.
Griffin was located at the same house on June 22, 2020 which was the last night she was seen. Police are treating her disappearance as a murder case.
Police and fire investigators think the Sunday fire was accidental in nature.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the fatal victim was 67-year-old Harmon G. Roberson. The homeowner, 67-year-old Charles S. Walker III, managed to escape uninjured.
