KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety had to break up a fight between two young men that looked like it might have been resulted in a death or serious injury if they had not intervened Tuesday at around 9 am.
PSO’s responding to a domestic dispute to the 900 block of church were waved down by a woman who told them someone had been shot inside.
They found the victim suffering from an arm wound, still on the floor struggling with his attacker holding a knife.
The officers broke them up. The wounded man was treated and released.
An 18-year-old was arrested for possessing marijuana. A 22-year-old was jailed for domestic assault and assault with intent to injure counts, a gun charge and resisting and obstructing.
The gun and the knife were recovered.
The relationship between the parties involved was not released.
