CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — Emmett Township investigators are looking into a car pedestrian accident that killed 64-year -old Theresa Gooding Tuesday night.
She was pronounced dead after she stepped into the path of a car that was just accelerating into a light that had just turned green at the intersection of East Columbia and East Michigan Avenue at about 8:30 pm.
The 22-year-old driver was not injured. Investigators say it does not appear that speed or alcohol were involved, but are running tests.
