BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Battle Creek jury has found 25-year-old Todd Bolden Jr. guilty of murder and other charges in connection with a December 2023 double homicide. The verdict, delivered on Tuesday, included convictions for first-degree murder, felony murder, first-degree home invasion, and felony firearm.
Bolden remains in the Calhoun County Jail awaiting sentencing.
The case originated from a reported attempted break-in and subsequent shooting on December 16, 2023, in the 200 block of Algonquin Street.
Responding officers discovered two victims, 22-year-old Veronica Cica and 44-year-old Steven Cica, who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Bolden was identified as the suspect and later surrendered to authorities.
