KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A Grand Rapids woman was found guilty murder this week in connection with a 2023 car crash in Kalamazoo that killed one person and severely injured another.
Tuesday the Kalamazoo County Circuit Court jury convicted 24-year-old Nyra Antinique Whitelow of second-degree murder and reckless driving causing serious impairment. Her sentencing is scheduled for February 23.
The fatal crash happened November 24, 2023 in the 3600 block of Stadium Drive. Police say Whitelow was traveling more than twice the posted speed limit when her vehicle struck another vehicle occupied by 22-year-old Audrey Hensley and her boyfriend.
Hensley was killed in the crash, while her boyfriend sustained critical injuries.
