KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) – The first homicide of 2021 in Kalamazoo remains under investigation by the Dept. of Public Safety.
Officers were summoned at around 4:02 am New Year’s Day to the 1300 block of Fox Ridge Dr. on a report of shots fired inside a building.
When they arrived, they found a 21 year old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Responders provided aid to the victim, but he died of his injuries at the scene.
At this time, no suspects are in custody.
