LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) – The state Attorney General’s office has announced that, following an investigation into the state health department’s contact-tracing contract, that there was no evidence of criminal activity.
In a report released last week, Attorney General Dana Nessel said that allegations of wrongdoing brought by State Senator Jim Runestad were not founded or verified with any of the findings.
Runestad, a Republican representing a portion of Oakland County, made the accusations that the contract had been given to a political ally in April, but didn’t provide any evidence to back up his claim.
