Jan 22 (Reuters) – Design software maker Autodesk said on Thursday it would lay off about 7% of its workforce globally, or roughly 1,000 employees, with a major portion of the reductions occurring within its customer-facing sales functions.
Shares of the company rose nearly 4% in premarket trading.
The company, which had about 15,300 employees as of January 31, 2025, said it expects to complete the restructuring plan by the end of its fourth quarter of fiscal 2027.
