ANN ARBOR, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The University of Michigan will announce its next president today.
Current Syracuse University chancellor Kent Syverud will be appointed the 16th president of the university.
Syverud will succeed interim president Domenico Grasso, who has been at the helm in Ann Arbor since president Santa Ono resigned in May 2025.
The new president earned his J.D. and master’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan in the 1980s.
