EAST LANSING, MI — Michigan State’s Coen Carr is becoming more of an offensive threat for the Spartans. The junior forward had 18 points to lead Michigan State past USC 80-51 Monday night at the Breslin Center. Carr scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half, while adding six rebounds, one assist, one steal and one blocked shot.
Redshirt sophomore guard Jeremy Fears Jr. added 15 points and handed out a game-high seven assists and senior forward Jaxon Kohler had 16 points, eight rebound and two assists.
The win gave Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo his 750th career victory.
It’s a busy week for MSU. They play Northwestern on Thursday night at Breslin. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. with the game televised on the Big Ten Network.
