KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Students at Western Michigan University are asking Kalamazoo-area residents to roll up their sleeves for the annual Bronco Blood Bash.
WMU is taking on CMU in a friendly competition to see who can collect the most pints of blood for the American Red Cross.
The competition began back in 1993, and this year Western is hoping to collect over 250 pints of blood.
Communications Manager for the American Red Cross of Michigan Todd Kulman says donors will also receive a Bronco Blood Bash t-shirt while supplies last as a thank you gift.
The blood drive will take place Thursday March 22nd from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center on Western’s campus and donors can make an appointment at redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800- RED CROSS (1-800- 733-2767).
