PORTAGE (WKZO AM/FM) — Portage Schools is investigating an administrator due to allegations of “inappropriate conduct.”
In a letter to staff and parents, Superintendent Mark Beilang says that Bill Dygert, the Principal of Portage Central Elementary has been put on a paid, non-disciplinary administrative leave while and internal investigation is conducted.
He goes on to say that the issue does not involve or affect students in anyway. He says they are taking the advice of legal counsel, on what they say is a personnel matter and therefore protected information.
Portage Schools have had a number of administrators and staffers get in trouble over the years. Everything from affairs with staff and students to a couple of drunk driving arrests.
We don’t know what the allegations are in this case.
Dygert has been the principal at Central Elementary since the fall of 2013.
