KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo Bomb Squad says a suspicious package found near a walking path in Kalamazoo was a false alarm.
A concerned citizen called in to report the box abandoned between Emerald Drive and Emerald Park just after 10 a.m. Thursday.
The suspicious item sparked concern after the recent package bombings in Austin Texas.
Authorities investigated and determined that it was just a box of clothing.
The items were taken to the Lost and Found at Public Safety’s Headquarters.
