LANSING, MI — Wind and snow are causing travel issues across mid-Michigan this morning. Near whiteout conditions have been reported along I-96 and I-94 just west of the I-69 interchanges. Travel slows even further along the lakeshore in west Michigan. Wind gusts near 50 MPH is causing dangerous road conditions for some this morning.
The forecast calls for light snow to continue for most of the day. The winds will subside some by later afternoon, which should limit blowing snow and improve driving conditions.
