KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspected drunk driver is facing a list of charges after he careened off a utility pole and flipped his car upside down in the Edison Neighborhood, knocking out the power to the area.
The 34-year-old Kalamazoo man lost control of the sedan in the 700 block of E. Stockbridgeat about 5:40 Saturday morning.
Arriving officers found the black sedan sitting upside down in the middle of the street and the driver missing.
They found him a short distance away, suffering from minor injuries.
He was booked into the County Jail for driving drunk, driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident.
Consumers Energy was called out to restore power.
