CONVIS TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — There has been a fatal crash in Calhoun County’s Convis Township.
Deputies say it appears a 38-year-old man from Marshall left the pavement on one of the slow winding curves on 14-mile road between P Drive South and Gorsline Road, and drove into a tree at about 4:30 AM Sunday.
The man died at the scene. They are withholding his name until relatives are notified.
Investigators believe that speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
