ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 34-year-old woman has pled no contest to two charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for sexually assaulting two teenage boys who attended Mendon Jr./Sr. High School.
Kaitlyn Sand entered the plea this week in St. Joseph County.
Sand was working for a third-party food service provider at the school from August 2021 through March 2023 and was not directly employed by Mendon Community Schools.
Police started their investigation in December 2023 when a 15-year-old boy told officers he and Sand had sex in March of that year at his parents’ house when they were out of town.
She was fired for unrelated matters in March 2023.
The 15-year-old also said she gave him oral sex two or three times in a parking lot in Three Rivers.
A second victim, a 16-year-old Mendon student, says she communicated with minors using Snapchat and would sell them alcohol and meet up with them at Mendon United Methodist Church.
Sand will be sentenced January 23rd.
