EAST LANSING, MI — Michigan State University today announced a historic $401 million commitment from Greg and Dawn Williams. Made through the university’s “Uncommon Will, Far Better World” campaign. It is the largest single commitment in the history of MSU and one of the largest single amounts in college athletics history.
Their generosity will dramatically transform Spartan Athletics and fuel academic excellence across multiple disciplines, reinforcing MSU’s mission to empower students and serve communities across Michigan and beyond. The donation will also support of MSU Athletics’ new FOR SPARTA initiative, which launched this week.
“The commitment that Greg and Dawn are making represents an extraordinary act of generosity and belief in Michigan State University’s future,” said MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D.
Greg Williams is CEO of Acrisure, which is a global insurance broker and headquartered in Grand Rapids. The insurance company offers a wide range of products including commercial and personal insurance, employee benefits, and cyber services.
