KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A report of a power outage and a crash on in the 300 block of South Drake Road has turned into a search for a hit and run driver.
It also became a major repair job for Consumers Energy crews. When first responders arrived on the scene, at about 7:30 am they found the wreck of the luxury car, and two power poles that had been fractured in several places. But the driver had vanished.
Kalamazoo County Deputies have checked on the registration and are looking for the owner of the dark luxury sedan that clipped off the poles on the west side of Drake Road, knocking out power and phone service to the area.
