BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek man with a record of domestic violence has been bound over to stand trial for a brutal murder.
45-year-old Liza Hanney Nelson was bludgeoned to death in her home on Anderson Court in June of 2016.
Nelson apparently had a relationship with the suspect, 59-year-old Oliver Paige, who has maintained his innocence.
After hearing testimony and looking at evidence, the judge was convinced there is sufficient material to warrant a trial on an open murder count.
