PARCHMENT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – More than 20 local businesses and organizations in the city of Parchment will take part in the city’s holiday festivities Wednesday evening.
Known as Parchment Wassailing, it will be from 6 to 8 p.m. and Mayor Robert Britigan will light the holiday lights at the Parchment Community Library at 6 p.m.
The library will also host Holiday Chocolate with hot chocolate and cookies provided by the Parchment Garden Club.
The City of Parchment invites residents and visitors to kick off the holiday season at Parchment Wassailing, returning Wednesday, December 3 from 6–8 p.m. More than 20 local businesses and organizations will open their doors for an evening of treats, activities, and festive fun.
Ahead of the main event, Lewis C. Howard Incorporated will offer pre-Wassailing festivities beginning at 5 p.m., including decorated trucks, carnival games, cookie decorating, and more.
Throughout the evening, guests can hop aboard the Holly Jolly Trolley, which runs from 5:50–8:10 p.m. and makes continuous stops at participating businesses. Maps showing the trolley route and stop locations are available at City Hall, the library, and on the event’s Facebook page.
