DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – General Motors has announced a recall on approximately 840,000 vehicles, involving several different models.
A seat belt issue is affecting about 640,000 vehicles, while about 213,000 are impacted by a suspension problem.
The vehicles involved are: Chevrolet Silverado 1500 — 2019 through 2021; GMC Sierra 1500 — 2019 through 2021; Chevrolet Suburban – 2021; Chevrolet Tahoe – 2021; GMC Yukon XL – 2021; Silverado 2500 and 3500 — 2020 and 2021; and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 — 2020 and 2021.
The trucks involved in the recall are the split seat models; bench seats models are not involved.
Owners can bring their vehicle to a dealer for repair beginning Feb. 1, 2021.
