ALLEGAN COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — A fisherman is in the hospital after a rescue at Dumont Lake.
Allegan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call around 3 a.m. Thursday from a resident on the lake saying they could hear someone yelling for help.
Investigators say the man went fishing around 4 p.m. Wednesday but at some point his canoe overturned and sank.
First responders discovered the man in the water unable to move due to hypothermia and executed the rescue.
