PAW PAW (WKZO AM/FM) — A Van Buren County teen could get up to 15-years in prison for causing a crash that killed a Paw Paw man last June.
Prosecutors charged that 19-year-old Demos Johnson blew past a stopsign at a high rate of speed and slammed into a car driven by 30-year-old Alex Yeider, causing fatal injuries to the older man.
The prosecutor pointed out to the jury that Johnson had done the same thing just over a month prior to the fatal crash, blowing past a stopsign in Kalamazoo and striking another vehicle.
The Jury returned its verdict yesterday.
