PAVILION TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — The grisly discovery of human remains is usually the start of an investigation, but not in this case, it may just solve a mystery.
It was just over a year ago that Scott Tiffany walked away from a residence on Meredith in Portage and seemingly vanished.
Skeletal remains were found Friday near the Golden Tree Apartments on the other side of the line in Pavilion Township, not far from Meredith.
They will need an autopsy to confirm the identity, but based on items found with the remains, investigators believe it is the 50-year-old Tiffany.
For now foul play is not suspected.
