CASS COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Charges may be brought against an elderly driver from Niles who allegedly caused a three car pile-up that sent four to the hospital at noon Sunday.
Cass County Deputies say that a Coloma woman had stopped to make a left turn into a driveway on M-51 near Saddlebred Lane, when a 45-year-old driver from Niles slowed behind her.
Deputies say the 85-year-old Niles resident behind her didn’t notice that either car had slowed, and plowed into the back of the second car with enough force to drive her into the car that had stopped.
The three drivers and one passenger were transported by Pride Care to area hospitals for treatment.
