UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — It was exciting while it lasted as a cold front brought brief but powerful storms to west Michigan, triggering severe storm warnings, pounding the area with high winds, heavy rain and lightning strikes but leaving little damage behind.
There are a few scattered power outages, hail reported in Lawton and Martin, a tree fell across Red Arrow Highway near Mattawan, but no reports of real property damage or injuries.
We will all feel the lasting impact of that storm front over the next few days as cooler temperatures will dominate through Saturday.
