KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The driver who crashed his car at 100 mph into a Kalamazoo Metro Transit Bus apologized to the court and everyone who may have suffered because of his actions Monday.
Micheal Spencer was given 3 to 5 years in prison for driving while intoxicated causing serious injury just over a year ago.
Spencer had THC, the active ingredient in Marijuana in his system and was himself, seriously injured in the crash at Michigan and Stadium.
Lashon Diallo, the bus driver who lost a leg because of the crash was not in the court room, but later told reporters that she wished the sentence would have been stiffer.
