KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The City of Kalamazoo has opened a three week long window for anyone interested in opening a medical marijuana business in Kalamazoo to file applications.
There probably won’t be a mad dash or long lines of applicants.
Kalamazoo’s permitting process is fairly restrictive, limiting the areas in the city where such businesses could be established.
That has driven up land prices in those zones.
City Clerk Scott Borling says they will be accepting applications for all five different businesses the state plans to license.
