KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A party in a parking lot at the Summit Park Apartments in the West Douglas neighborhood came to an abrupt end when gun fire rang out and people scattered at about 3:00 Sunday morning.
Apparently multiple shots were fired but only one person was wounded and is expected to survive. Public Safety responded to the 700 block of Summit Park Court and found the 33-year-old male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his leg.
He is in stable condition.
They found a large number of shell casings littering the parking lot, most of the shots were fired at a pair of cars.
They have no suspects identified, but the investigation continues.
