KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Kalamazoo Public Schools board has approved superintendent Darrin Slade’s strategic plan for the district, a long-range set of goals and objectives, that have been in the works for some time.
Dr. Slade says it has been the subject of over 70 community and staff meetings during the past year.
He says it sets six goals and objectives for everyone in the district, and not just the classroom to shoot for.
He says they should all serve one overriding purpose.
He says he will lay out some of his timelines and implementation plans at the next board meeting.
The final version of the strategic plan has been posted at the district’s website.
