KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Family Health Center (FHC) has announced new COVID-19 testing and flu shot events that will take place both before and after Christmas.
The first of these events will take place on Thursday, December 17 at Wings Event Center, located at 3600 Vanrick Drive.
This event will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In order to get tested for COVID-19, residents must meet the following requirements, including registration:
- Get registered by calling the testing hotline at (269)-488-0804
- On Arrival – Keep window up until instructed otherwise. You will be asked to show ID and insurance card through your CLOSED window.
- Testing – Keep mask over your mouth, exposing your nose.
- Exiting – Discharge paperwork will be provided. FHC will call with results when they arrive.
To receive a flu shot, residents do not need to make an appointment. Officials say insurance is accepted on-site, or customers can pay $20 (cash or card) without insurance.
The next of these events will take place Tuesday, December 29 at Schoolcraft Middle School, located at 747 East Clay Street, Schoolcraft, MI 49087.
That event will also take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will also require registration.
The same rules apply for this event, with registration required to be tested for COVID-19.
