LANSING, MI — President-elect Joe Biden has reportedly chosen former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm as the nation’s next energy secretary.
The website, Politico, reports Granholm’s experience with the auto industry in Detroit appealed to Biden and his team. Biden has pledged to invest in electric vehicles and to generate one-million new jobs in the automobile industry.
Granholm served as Michigan’s governor for eight years and was the state’s first female attorney general.
