COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Authorities are releasing more information on Kalamazoo’s latest homicide.
The body of 24-year-old Anyia Mack was found in Comstock Creek last Friday and her boyfriend has been arraigned on open murder charges.
Information released in court documents to secure warrants claim that 25-year-old Donnavan Lewis killed Mack by knocking her out and slitting her throat with a kitchen knife after they had an argument.
Police claim he first stuffed her body in a piece of luggage and dropped it into a dumpster.
The next morning he retrieved the body and took it to the creek bed in Comstock where he buried it.
He later led police back to the location.
