BIG FISH LAKE (WKZO AM/FM) — Cass County Sheriff deputies say a man who they believed suffered a medical issue while driving a boat has now died.
55-year-old Michael Mondovich of Granger, Indiana was boating on Big Fish Lake around 9 a.m. Saturday when he passed out and the boat collided into a pier and two other boats.
Witnesses ran to the boat and began CPR until first responders arrived.
He was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital where he later died.
Now, investigators say alcohol may have been a factor in the boating accident.
They’re waiting to gather more information from the autopsy report to determine the exact cause of his death.
