MARENGO TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A driver is recovering from injuries after she suffered a medical condition behind the wheel, causing her to crash in Calhoun County.
Deputies say the 37-year-old woman from Albion was traveling down Michigan Avenue in Marengo Township just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday when she began to sense that an issue linked to her medical condition was about to happen.
Her car went off the road and into an overgrown area with trees near 21 Mile Road.
She had to be extricated from the wreckage and rushed to a hospital in Jackson.
She is expected to recover from her injuries.
