BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — Vice Mayor Dave Walters is steping down from his seat on the Battle Creek City Commission.
In his letter to Mayor Mark Behnke, he says his resignation is due to private reasons and professional matters that could affect his ability to perform at 100%.
Walters was appointed to the Battle Creek City Commission in 2010, elected in 2011, and served as mayor for three terms.
Mayor Behnke says filling the 4th Ward opening has been added to Tuesday night’s regular agenda and they will pick a Vice-Mayor from their own ranks.
