BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is in custody for a shooting at a party store in Battle Creek.
It happened at TJ’s Party Store on Meachem Avenue just before 10 p.m. Saturday.
Police say 21-year-old Timothy Erwin-Paul Wells walked into the store, had a brief confrontation with a man inside, and when the man attempted to leave, Wells fired three shots.
The victim was rushed to Bronson Battle Creek with non-life-threatening injuries.
Tips led police to Wells Monday afternoon and he will face multiple felony charges.
