PAVILION TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies are investigating a fatal collision in Pavilion Township.
A driver of a black VW Jetta may face charges after they strayed across the centerline on a rural county road and plowed head-on into a silver Toyota Rav-4.
It happened at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday on 36th Street south of OP Avenue.
The Pavilion Township Rescue Unit had to pry the driver of the Toyota out of the vehicle, who died later from the injuries suffered in the wreck.
The driver of the VW was taken to Borgess Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No names were released. Tests will be conducted.
