PARCHMENT (WKZO AM/FM) Kalamazoo Township Police are warning residents in the effected water zone in Parchment and Cooper Township that two men are going door to door in a maroon van offering to sell water filters and PFAS water testing kits.
There are no over-the-counter filters that will remove PFAS from tap water. Do it yourself water testing kits are also notoriously unreliable.
They are asking that anyone who comes in contact with such salemen immediately contact police.
Citizens with private wells who wish to have their water tested are asked to contact the Kalamazoo County Health and Community Service Department at 269-373-5210.
