DOWAGIAC (WKZO AM/FM) — A man who opened fire outside a bar in Dowagiac is now being charged with first degree murder, attempted murder, and multiple gun felonies.
Police say 24-year-old Rolandis Russell was at the Beeson Street Bar early Sunday morning when an argument spilled out into the parking lot and he went to his car to retrieve an assault rifle.
He came back firing, allegedly missing his intended target, but fatally hitting 42-year-old Fabian Wesaw of Dowagiac.
Bond has been denied for Russell, and he could get mandatory life without parole if he is convicted of the murder charge.
