LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A motorcyclist is in custody after he led police on a chase in St. Joseph County.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday when deputies attempted to stop 2 speeding motorcyclists on Mahnke Road near Darr Road in Lockport Township.
One of the motorcyclists stopped but the other took off.
Deputies followed the motorcyclist and arrested him after he pulled into the yard of a residence in the 23000 block of River Run Road.
The 40-year-old man from Centreville was booked into the St. Joseph County jail on fleeing and eluding charges.
A female passenger on the motorcycle was detained and later released.
