KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Residents on Davis Street near Lovell have a spectacular view of WMU’s Heritage Hall, but right now they also have a disturbing view of dumpsters parked there by the city for students and land lords cleaning out rentals getting ready for fall semester at WMU.
Residents claim the dumpsters over flow and that the free disposal is a public nuisance that is being taken advantage of by anyone in the area who wants to get rid of trash.
Public Works Director Jim Baker says they plan to put out larger dumpsters to accommodate the demand, but that’s not expected to make homeowners there happy.
