HOPKINS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office says a motorcyclist was killed Friday afternoon after striking another vehicle in Hopkins Township.
At 2:56 p.m. Allegan County Central Dispatch received a call for a serious traffic crash at 18th Street and 135th Avenue. The preliminary investigation showed a southbound motorcycle on 18th Street failed to stop at a signed four-way intersection while an SUV was making a northbound turned onto 18th Street after making a complete stop.
The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene after life saving measures were attempted. No one was injured in the SUV.
The scene is being investigated by the Allegan County Crash Reconstruction Team.
The names and information of all involved parties are being withheld at this time.
