9COMSTOCK (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo County Deputies were called to a report of an assault with a gun around 8:30 Saturday evening, but the suspect ran into an overgrown area near the scene of the crime on East JK Ave. and 28th Street before they arrived.
K-9 Zeus was deployed and tracked the suspect over nearly a mile of thick terrain through fading light.
They eventually located and arrested the suspect.
No information about the suspect was released, only that they were booked into the Kalamazoo County Jail on a felonious assault with a firearm charge and for an outstanding warrant.
